On August 31, 2024, Llano Christian Academy lost a friend, mentor, prayer warrior and a founding member of the Board, Lony Reed. In 2011, Dr. Smith met Mr. Reed for the first time.  They became fast friends, hiring Dr. Smith on the spot.  Dr. Smith shared, "We will miss him, his wit and his humor.  He is now with our Lord and Savior.  Lony will be missed, but we have the promise of seeing him again in Heaven."
